Future Energy Festival // Tampere, Pakkahuone 14.8.2015

After a long break of any kind of blog related stuff, I will try my luck again with new motivation, called HOLIDAY! :)

Last Friday I started my summer holiday, and to celebrate that we went to a rave party in Tampere Pakkahuone. To be honest I don't remember going to a rave like in 10 years :), but somehow you just find the dance mojo :D Even though now on Sunday, after all the bouncing around, my legs are killing me... (must be the age, hahah!)

But anyway the music was great, even though quite hard compared to any regular radio shit, but still as I said, great! The Pakkahuone's venue was divided into 3 areas between the main stage, club, and terrace. All 3 areas had own dj's with little different genre.

We spent most our time on the main stage, where the set included:
Neon, Alek Szahala, Substanced & Horzi, Noicecontrollers, Pandorum, and Sasha F. For us the most waited ones, were Alek Szahala, and for me Pandorum, but all of them put up a good show!!

After a long time, this was something different than basic clubbing, and somehow refreshing!

Floor plan - Vinyl Cork!

First I thought of different floor materials like laminate and parquet, as they are the most commonly used, but to be honest neither of them isn't suitable for 3 dogs playing around, if I wanted it to last more than only couple of years. Especially parquet is very sensitive for scratches and is out of the question when dogs are involved. So I had to think of other options...

Luckily the person in the store suggested another floor material - vinyl cork, which has become quite a success with families with children and dogs, as the surface of the vinyl floor is much more durable and water resistant than laminate or parquet. And having the cork underneath the vinyl surface, makes it more warmer under the feet, and it also works like a silencer for the clacking sounds of dogs' claws against the floor.

As first I thought of putting tiles in the kitchen floor, but then I thought of making coffee and breakfast during the cold winter mornings, and the tiles wouldn't be so warm under the toes as vinyl cork :) "Comfyness" is No.1 thing! :D

So the floor is now selected! The chosen material is this vinyl cork and the color is some light grey named "white oak", and it will be installed to the whole apartment for more cohesive look.

Now I'm just waiting with these 2000 kilos of floor material, that the current tenant will find a new apartment asap, so that we can move in and start doing something!  :)

Here are couple shots of the chosen floor,
and a reference pic how it would look in a real room..

And here are the 3 adorable monsters that are living with us under the same roof :)
2 mini pinscher girls (3,5 & 1,5 yrs) and a 2 yrs old boxer boy.

My first own apartment - Home!

I just recently purchased my first own apartment, so you can image, that my head is full of ideas and questions what to do with it!

- How should I decorate the place?
- What kind of kitchen would be the most practical?
- What kind of flooring to choose?
- What kind of wallpaper to use?
- What color of paint to use?
- What kind of furniture to buy?
- What kind of home accessories to buy?
- What highlight colors to use - pink, purple, turquoise, lime, yellow, orange...?

So all comments and ideas are welcome! :)

The main issues to start with is to select the floor material and color, as I have 3 dogs living with me and making a mess all the time ;) and make a plan for the new kitchen renovation. Then the second issue are the wardrobes and other storage space, as I like things to be as practical as possible but in a clear modern way.

The apartment is 75 m2 with 2 bedrooms, living room, kitchen and a balcony, so there's a lot to cover :) Well, the color theme will based on black, white, and grey base colors, which will be spiced up with couple of highlight colors, after I decide what they will be :)

Well, I'm off to planning and finding more ideas!
